CSF Grant Program - Excellence in Education & Student Enrichment

Each year, the grant program provides several Excellence in Education Grants of up to $3,000 for innovative district-wide/school-wide projects that benefit large groups of students. In addition, Student Enrichment Grants of up to $1,000 are awarded to teachers for innovative classroom projects that address student needs.

CSF’s grant program is designed to have a lasting effect on the community by encouraging involvement and enriching the quality of LCSD1’s educational services. All board members are volunteers.

Funds are raised at the annual walk/run, from community member donations and the local business community. During the fall of 2011, four "Excellence in Education" grants for a total of $11,994 were awarded.  In addition, 11 "Student Enrichment Grants" for a total of $9,399 were awarded.
